The California High School Speech Association (CHSSA) web site provides expert information and resources to improve speech education in all content areas. Curricular materials are linked to California State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Because CHSSA hosts the California High School Speech and Debate State Championships, it has also created policies and procedures for co-curricular competition. For anyone who wants to begin a speech and debate team, information and helpful hints are available in the New Coaches' Handbook. Videos illustrating samples of various competitive events can be viewed by individual students or used in classroom instruction.
